3、l economic developments,demographic shifts and increasing demand for advanced skills.These trends show a sector that is not only growing but also evolving in structure,requiring innovative responses from institutions and governments globally.South Asia is projected to continue being the biggest regi

4、on worldwide in terms of enrolments in 2035(66 million),followed by East Asia(52.6 million),due to both large population bases and rising participation.Sub-Saharan Africa and North Africa are expected to experience the fastest proportional increases by 64%and 60%respectively,reflecting expanding acc

5、ess to HE.Eastern Europe is the only region forecast to decline(-14%).Large-population countries are set to continue dominating enrolment forecasts in 2035,with China and India on top,followed by Indonesia,the US and Brazil.However,growth will not be seen across all systems.The US,despite maintainin
